Bainbridge Island
This weekend E and I took a day trip to Bainbridge Island, which is a quick 30 minute ferry ride from Seattle. It was E’s birthday weekend so our visit was solely to have lunch and wine taste. #priorities. At 10 miles long and 5 miles wide, Bainbridge Island is home to seven wineries, one brewery, and one distillery! Total overachievers, amiright?! Farewell Gum Wall…
Last weekend Eric and I took a stroll in the rain to say goodbye to Seattle’s infamous Gum Wall. Located on Post Alley Road and part of Pike Place Market, today these walls will be power-washed clean for the first time in twenty years. Apparently two decades worth of gum has (or would have) caused structural damage. Don’t worry though! Once the walls are washed clean, visitors will be encouraged to restart this colorful – yet totally unsanitary – tradition yet again. Ha!
